Visit of the British delegation to BSEU

  On 18 March, an honorary delegation of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Maxim ERMOLOVICH and Professor of Banking and World Economy Richard WERNER (United Kingdom) visited BSEU. The meeting were attended by the First Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Irina STAROVOITOVA, and the Chief Specialist of the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education Inna POLOZKOVA.
 The Rector Vyacheslav SHUTILIN, Vice-Rectors for Academic Affairs Olga MOROZEVICH and Alla PRANEVICH, Vice-Rector represented BSEU for Research Alexey BYKOV, Heads of Finance, Banking, and International Economic Relations Departments took part in the negotiations on behalf of BSEU.



During the talks, the rector of BSEU told the delegation about the main directions of scientific and educational activities of the university, introduced to the distinguished guests the examples of publications of BSEU scientists in Russian and in English. Prof. R. Werner shared his scientific views on the role of the banking sector in ensuring economic growth of the state, as well as his experience in Japan and Great Britain. The professor thanked the representatives of the University for an Interesting Discussion and indicated areas of possible cooperation, noting that BSEU takes a worthy place among European higher education institutions of economic profile.
R. Werner's stay at the university continued with a guest lecture on "Strategy for Intensive Economic Development," which was delivered in English to third-year students of the Faculty of Economics. The lecture aroused great interest and an active discussion.


The professor is looking forward for further prospective cooperation with the university.
