BNTU’s Chancellor Sergei Kharitonchik met with deans of joint engineering and technical faculty of the BNTU and TTU (Tajik Technical University) Tohir Madjidov and Vyacheslav Lugovoi
In the second half of august chancellor Sergei Kharitonchik met with deans of the joint faculty Tohir Madjidov and Vyacheslav Lugovoj. This faculty is the first separate BNTU’s subdivision (since 2012) which cooperates with Tajik Technical University named after academician M.S. Osimi. (Dushanbe, Tajikistan). The Dean of the Tajik department Tohir Madjidov came to Belarus in order to accompany students who came to continue their studies at BNTU.
The educational process on this faculty spans through 2 stages. The first one is in Tajikistan and includes preparatory courses of Russian for those, who does not know it as well as studying in 1st and 2nd year. The second stage is in BNTU and includes training of students in 3-5 years with the defense of a diploma project, the assignment of an appropriate qualification and the issuance of a diploma of higher education in accordance with the regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Belarus. After this students may remain at BNTU and do their master’s degree.
During their talks they have discussed joint programs, problems of students and university’s employees when they move to another country to work or study, as well as life in Belarus and Tajikistan and similarity of history of the two countries.
-Clean and tidy city with its unique history, pleasant weather without heat or rainy days, warm people, work… What else do people need to be happy? Now I’m dying to see the sights. I really want to see “Khatyn” in order to feel the state’s history during the war, - said Tohir Saidovich.
In his turn, BNTU’s chancellor pointed that one of the students, who preseted an innovative project on “Khatyn” museum development is from Tajikistan.
Belarusian education has always been a fairly high standard. Quite a lot of foreigners study on a commercial basis at BNTU, and joint programs are popular. The value of a specialist engineer is growing every year, and people understand this, - says Sergey Vasilyevich.
Also Sergey Vasilyevich mentioned that chancellor of Tajik Technical University doctor of economic sciences, professor Davlatzoda Kudrat Kambar was asked to pay a visit to BNTU, but the visit had to be postponed due to Mr. Davlatzoda’s high workload. – We are still waiting for him. He is welcome to come whenever the opportunity appear – says Sergei Vasilievich. In the end the parties have exchanged gifts and did a photo for memory.
