Negotiations with the Pakistani delegation at BSEU

BSEU held talks headed by Rector V. Shutilin with a delegation from Pakistan represented by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus in Lahore (Pakistan) Mr. Walid Mushtak. The meeting was also attended by vice-rectors for academic and scientific work. The visit of the Pakistani delegation was organized with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Pakistan.

The Belarusian side presented the educational potential of the university with an emphasis on the existing experience in the development of international contacts with the countries of Asia and Southeast Asia. Topical issues of providing educational services to Pakistani students in a remote format, prospects for training Pakistani citizens in programs of the first stage of higher education (bachelor) in English, opportunities to assist BSEU in establishing contacts with Pakistani partners and BSEU's participation in the creation of a Belarusian-Pakistani center for joint scientific research.

In conclusion, the honorary consul made a proposal to attract university specialists to teach Russian to Pakistani applicants wishing to enter BSEU in the future. The parties agreed on the first stages of further cooperation, in particular, the participation of representatives of Pakistani consulting companies in online Open Day for foreign citizens this summer.
