Experts from 4 countries to discuss modern socium development in BSU

The international scientific and methodological interdisciplinary seminar “New challenges and prospects for the development of modern society” will be held on November 10 at BSU.

The meeting is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the famous Belarusian sociologist Georgy Davidyuk and is organized in a face-to-face and remote format.

The plenary session will be held in a discussion format. Participants will consider the sociology of Professor Georgy Davidyuk and the revival of sociological science and education in Belarus. Three remote sections are also planned. They will examine the history of the development of applied sociology, the experience of teaching sociology at universities in Belarus, the transformation of the problem field of modern sociological science, etc.

As part of the scientific event, there will be a presentation of the book “Memory and Glory: Georgy Petrovich Davidyuk. To the 100th anniversary of his birth" about the life and scientific path of the famous scientist.

Based on the results of the seminar, a collection of materials will be prepared and posted in the BSU E-Library.
