 BSPU was awarded: the UN Certificate of Appreciation for its active participation in the UN-70 Express in Belarus for Sustainable Development initiative; the Government of Belarus Award for Achievements in the field of quality. BSPU is listed on the Republican Board of Honor for achieving the best indicators in the field of socio-economic development in 2017 among scientific organizations.

BSPU is a member of 10 international organizations, including the Eurasian Association of Pedagogical Universities, the Union of Universities and the One Belt, One Road Higher Education Community, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the European Association of Foreign Language Examination Boards, the Eurasian Association of Universities, and others.

In February 2017, the Republican Coordination Center "Education for Sustainable Development" was established on the basis of the University by decision of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus. For the first time in the history of the continuous teacher education system in Belarus, an educational, scientific and innovative cluster has been created, the governing core of which is BSPU as the leading institution of higher education in the industry. In 2016, the Resource Center for Social and Pedagogical Technologies was opened. In March 2017 With the support of UNICEF, the Resource Center for Inclusive Education has been established, which is a new type of unit that has no analogues in the Republic of Belarus. The opening of the Educational Robotics Resource Center took place in November 2017. In order to improve the quality of teacher education, the Network Academy of e-Learning Pedagogy has been established. In April 2019, according to the order of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Republican Center for Psychological Assistance was established in the structure of the Institute of Psychology of BSPU. In 2019 The implementation of the joint sports and educational project of BSPU and the Belarusian Chess Federation "Chess Debut" has begun. BSPU has joint educational programs with educational institutions of the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation, and a joint faculty with the Republic of Uzbekistan in the fields of pedagogy, speech therapy, and psychology. 1,030 foreign citizens from 16 countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, China, Estonia, Georgia, Germany, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Myanmar, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan) study at the University.

More than 180 international agreements and cooperation agreements have been concluded, ensuring effective mutually beneficial partnerships with the world's leading educational and scientific institutions.

BSPU interacts most actively with institutions of higher education in the Russian Federation – 64, the People's Republic of China – 38, and the Republic of Kazakhstan – 25.
