Provost meets with foreign students

On March 22, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Eduard Valentinovich Tomilchik held a meeting with foreign students of the Faculty of Translation.
The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Translation A.P. Ponimatko, Deputy Dean for Work with Foreign Students Y.A. Podberezskaya and students from China, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Iraq, Iran.
During the meeting, issues of education and stay of foreign citizens in MSLU were discussed.
The participants covered all the relevant issues such as satisfaction of foreign students with social, living conditions in university dormitories, the organization of the educational process, the material and technical base of the university, the peculiarities of living in a multicultural environment, relationships with classmates, Belarusian students, representatives of the dean's office and university administration.
The students were informed about the possibility of receiving consultations from a university psychologist, social-pedagogical and psychological assistance.
The meeting discussed the participation of foreign students in the cultural life of the university, in the activities of compatriots, in the work of the volunteer detachments "Without Borders" and "Friendship Bridge", created to work with foreign students to adapt to study and life in the Republic of Belarus, to resolve personal issues .
Particular attention was paid to the attendance of foreign students in training sessions, the academic performance of students, the rating system for assessing progress, and the organization of consultations for students experiencing learning difficulties.
