Meeting between representatives of Polessky State University and Shanxi Institute of Science and Technology (People's Republic of China).

On April 21, 2023 a meeting was held between representatives of Polessky State University, Shanxi Institute of Science and Technology (People's Republic of China) and representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the People's Government of Jincheng, which is a sister-city of Pinsk.
Chen Hao, Vice-rector of the Shanxi Institute of Science and Technology, delivered a welcoming speech: "We express our hope for cooperation in organizing academic exchanges, applying online platforms for thematic and interdisciplinary lectures. We are determined to closely pursue dialogue between China and Belarus in the field of science and education in order to lay the foundation for long-term cooperation." In her welcoming speech Zolotareva Olga Aleksandrovna, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of the Polessky State University underlined that "only joint efforts of the universities can lead to the creation of new opportunities for our students and teachers in terms of academic exchanges, internships, training, and also to joint research and development, which will lead to new discoveries and innovations".
During the meeting the heads of the international departments of the universities announced the directions of cooperation, which can be implemented during the next year. During the discussion the possibility to develop academic mobility, elaboration and implementation of joint educational programs, holding online lectures by both universities and many other issues were discussed. The format of the meeting aroused interest on both sides. Following the event, a meeting of subject faculties is planned.
