Meeting of foreign students with representatives of the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology of Gomel

On November 24, 2022, foreign students met with the assistant epidemiologist of the State Institution "Gomel City Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology" Ashurko Galina Gennadievna, who informed about the ways to catch HIV infection and measures to prevent it. Also she explained the need to conduct an HIV test in a medical organization at the place of residence or in the HIV / AIDS prevention department of the Gomel Regional Belarus Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology and Public Health annually, and within 10 days after arrival in the Republic of Belarus.
Assistant doctor-epidemiologist of the HIV/AIDS Department of the State Institution "Gomel Regional Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health" Natalia Vychikova made a presentation on malaria prevention. It is clarified that persons arriving from malaria-affected countries are subject to examination if they complain of chills, malaise, and any illness accompanied by fever.
