VI All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation "Glaucoma Treatment: Innovative Vector – 2026"
On February 27–28, there was held the 6th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation “Glaucoma Treatment: Innovative Vector – 2026” in Moscow.
During the conference, leading specialists from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Germany discussed current issues in the field of multimodal diagnostics, management, and a comprehensive approach to medical and surgical treatment of patients with various forms of glaucoma. Particular attention was paid to secondary glaucoma, approaches to its conservative, laser and surgical treatment.
The conference was attended in person by 547 participants from 4 countries (the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan), 34 regions of the Russian Federation. 516 participants from 5 countries (Russian Federation, Republic of Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Germany) and 68 regions of the Russian Federation participated online.
In the opening remarks, Professor Nazir Khodjaev, Deputy Director for Research of S. Fyodorov Eye Microsurgery Federal State Institution of the Russian Ministry of Health, Doctor of Medical Sciences, and Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, emphasized the importance of international cooperation and the exchange of experience in the areas of early diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases.
Dmitry Arsyutov, Director General of the S. Fyodorov Eye Microsurgery Federal State Institution of the Russian Ministry of Health, PhD, and Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, made the opening speech, outlining the common goal of providing accessible and high-tech care to every patient with glaucoma in the country.
Belarusian specialists participated at satellite and poster sessions, symposiums, and sectional meetings.
