BSU students became prize-winners of the International Olympiad on Financial Security

BSU students became prize-winners of the International Olympiad on Financial Security. A diploma of the I degree and a commemorative cup were awarded to a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Economics Dmitry Radyuk for the best result in the direction of «Economics. Finance and credit. Economic security». According to the student, in order to solve the tasks, it was very important to correctly uate the described case, delve into it, analyze it, find causalities and build logical chains.
Alexey Pikus, a third-year student of the Faculty of Law of BSU, also became the winner of the Olympiad in the direction of «Jurisprudence».
In total, the Belarusian national team was represented by ten students of BSU and the Belarusian State Economic University.
In addition, Svetlana Kostyukova, an associate professor of the Department of Economic Security of the Faculty of Economics of BSU, was awarded a certificate of honor for her personal contribution to the development of the International Network Institute. It is she who has been preparing the Belarusian team for competitions for the second year.
The final stage of the intellectual competition was held from 10 to 14 October at the Educational Center «Sirius» in Sochi (Russia). In total, about 500 students and schoolchildren from Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the BRICS countries took part in it.
The program included solving various economic cases, working on projects, testing and financial investigation. Also during the week, the contestants attended seminars, workshops, master classes, round tables, panel discussions, participated in debates, creative meetings on information, financial and legal literacy, financial security.
It should be noted that the organizers of the qualifying stage of the Olympiad in Belarus were the Financial Monitoring Department of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus, BSU and BSEU.
The international event was initiated by the Federal Financial Monitoring Service of Russia.
