Sports festival with the participation of international students

International students met the beginning of the academic year in Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk with sports enthusiasm.
The first month of autumn was very active for our students, they participated in sports competitions and friendly tournament. Thus, a sports festival with the participation of international students We are different, but together we are power! was held.
Three teams took part in the competitions: Belarus, Africa, and Uzbekistan. It was not the first time when the first two teams participated together in such competitions, while the team from Uzbekistan took part in such a festival for the first time.
Students were offered entertaining relay races with running, balls and sacks. They did their best, and fans actively supported their teams, sports competitions did not leave anyone indifferent. This exciting festival brought the competitors together and contributed to the birth of a friendly international student family.
There is no doubt that friendship won the competition. According to the results of the competition, places were distributed as follows:
• the team of Belarus took 1st place
• the team of Africa took 2nd place
• the team of Uzbekistan took 3rd place
After the competitions participants gathered for the awarding ceremony, the students were charged with positive attitude and a desire to meet again. We would like to express our gratitude to the students' trade union committee for the sweet prizes.
Sports fans took part in a friendly mini-football tournament among foreign students. Four teams took part in the competition: students from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, the People's Republic of China and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In a persistent struggle during the week participants determined the winner. The tournament was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, the teams supported each other. Football fans showed interesting and exciting game. According to the results of the competition the places were distributed as follows:
• the team of Uzbekistan took 1st place
• the team of Africa took 2nd place
• the team of Turkmenistan took 3rd place
• the team of People's Republic of China took 4th place
The foreign students are looking forward to the next tournaments, matches and sports festivals.
