The cooperation agreement was signed by BSU and the Secretariat of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly. The rector of the university Andrei Karol and the executive secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Sergey Pospelov put their signatures. The ceremony took place today, 15 February, at BSU.
The agreement was the result of arrangements reached on cooperation in research, legal, humanitarian activities and areas for the implementation of mutually shared values. This is the strengthening of peace, international and regional security, stability, territorial integrity and sovereignty of the CSTO member states.
In order to achieve these prospects, it is planned to conduct joint scientific research, conferences, symposiums, seminars, projects in the field of model lawmaking; interaction in the field of expert and analytical activities; organization of joint working meetings, as well as exchange of scientific and informational publications, mutual consulting assistance.
The first joint event within the framework of the agreement was a meeting of representatives of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly with the BSU expert community consisting of the leadership of the Faculty of International Relations, the Department of Expert and Analytical Work, as well as members of the Student Analytical Club. The participants exchanged proposals for cooperation, told about the main directions of their activities and determined the vectors of the nearest interaction. The CSTO Parliamentary Assembly is interested in developing scientific contacts, involving scientists from various fields in analytical and expert work. BSU intends to cooperate, including in the youth line. Since 2021, the Student Analytical Club has been working at the university, which contributes to the formation of a professional community of analysts from among students and undergraduates. In the near future, the parties agreed to work out the issue of creating a student project group to study the issues and topics related to the activities of the CSTO.
