Republican scientific and methodological seminar for employees of secondary and high schools of Belarus "Pedagogical workshop MASTER GEO - 2022" will be held at the Belarusian State University

The Republican scientific and methodological seminar for employees of secondary and high schools of the Republic of Belarus "Pedagogical workshop MASTER GEO - 2022" will be held on November 1-2 at BSU (Leningradskaya st., 16, room 213). It starts at 10.00. The meeting will be held online.
About 150 employees of BSU, Brest State University named after. A.S. Pushkin, the National Institute of Education, the Mogilev State Regional Institute for the Development of Education, gymnasiums and secondary schools of Belarus will discuss current problems and prospects for the development of school education in the field of geography. Also, the work of the Creative Workshop of Young Geographers will be organized especially for schoolchildren and students. Here, about ten high school pupils and university students will present the results of their scientific research in the field of geography.
Teachers in the format of a round table will discuss the application of innovative methods and information and communication technologies in the teaching of geographical disciplines, the integration of classical and distance learning, the popularization of geographical knowledge, the implementation of additional education in local history, etc. The seminar will include a series of master classes on teaching methods of geography, which will be held for their colleagues by teachers from metropolitan and regional schools, gymnasiums and lyceums. Here they will talk about the development of the cognitive interest of students, the organization and holding of geographical tournaments, the activation of educational activities and creative interaction with the help of board games, etc.
The result of the work will be the publication of an electronic collection of seminar materials.
The event is organized by the Faculty of Geography and Geoinformatics of BSU.
