"Chinese Ambassador Awards" for VSU representatives
Vitebsk State University students of the faculty of Humanities and language communications (HLC) together with students of the Lyceum of the VSU were given "Chinese Ambassador Awards" 2021-2022 for high achievements in chinese language learning. This award can not be presented to anyone. Thus, this award will be undoubtedly given only to those university students and schoolchidren who definetely put a tremendous effort to master Chinese. This award is also presented to exemplary education facilities for the best training of their students. But, because of COVID-19 pandemia the 2021 and 2022 ceremonies had to be united in one.
During the ceremony the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Xe Xiaoyung handed diplomas to the winners. Among the chosen were a second year student of the HLC faculty Makarova Alexandra Olegovna, she studies "Romano-Germanic philology". She was joined by Nikolaenko Marat Olegovich who is a graduate of the HLC faculty. Also, a 10"M" class student of the VSU Lyceum Ladytko Miroslava Ivanovna was not lagging behind. This year in total the award was presented to 80 Bealrusian students from 12 institutions of higher learning, 16 schools, gymnasiums and lyceums for outstanding knowledge of chinese language, culture and traditions shown during the Republican quiz and other contests.
