Grand opening of the International Youth conference

On March 22, the international youth conference "Ethnic diversity of the modern world and the formation of personality in a multicultural environment" began its work. The host of the event is the UNESCO Department of Minsk State Linguistic University.
Delegations from the Republic of Armenia, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus took part in the conference. Young researchers and heads of delegations are experienced scientists and researchers from the Russian-Armenian University, Belgorod National Research University, Voronezh Pedagogical University, Kursk State University, A.S. Pushkin Leningrad University, Perm State National Research University, Yaroslavl Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushinsky, as well as from the universities of the Republic of Belarus - presented their research on the problems of the conference.
At the opening of the conference, the guests were greeted by the rector of MSLU Natalia Lapteva, who noted that the university is very happy to host well-known scientists, experienced and novice researchers from different parts of the CIS countries, inspired by the ideas of a dialogue of cultures, studying the identity of the peoples of the planet, ways to preserve and increase it, problems of personality formation in the rapidly developing modern world. Natalya Evgenievna noted that at a new stage in the development of the world community, taking into account the emerging challenges in scientific discussions, it is important to turn to a multidimensional discussion of issues of universal uniformity and diversity of the world space, consideration of ways to form a multicultural educational environment to ensure successful interethnic interaction of its subjects, determine the conditions for constructive coexistence and interaction between different ethnic groups living on the same territory. At the end of the speech, N.E. Lapteva expressed hope that the conference, which takes place in the Year of Peace and Creation in the Republic of Belarus, will inspire all participants to take further steps in implementing the ideas of a dialogue of cultures to preserve ethnic diversity and develop a multicultural personality.
Also, N.S.Schastnovich, executive secretary of the National Commission of the Republic of Belarus for UNESCO, addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech. Natalya Sergeevna noted the important role of UNESCO in solving the issues of preserving ethnic diversity in the world and the role of the UNESCO Chair in educating a multicultural personality, creating and developing a multicultural environment.
At 12.00, the participants of the conference, together with the whole country, paid tribute to the memory of the victims of the Khatyn tragedy.
At the plenary session, reports of scientists and young researchers were presented. The researchers focused on the issues of modern problems of multicultural education, ethnic socialization of children and youth, analysis of trends and contradictions in the formation of an ethnocultural identity of an individual, forecasting the risks and prospects for the social development of an individual, preventing nationalist tendencies among adolescents and youth, searching for effective means and technologies for involving young people. to the traditional values of culture, issues of language policy.
In the afternoon, meetings were held in four sections, and master classes were held by experienced and creative teachers - participants of the conference. The master classes held by A.R. Arakelyan (Russian-Armenian University) “Humanization of interpersonal relations by means of art”, M.I. Morozova (A.S.Pushkin Leningrad University) "Dialogue on Values in a Multicultural World", A.G.Babayan (Russian-Armenian University) "Art in the System of Social Communication Means", A.V.Reprintsev (Kursk State University) "The Existential Choice of Man in Conditions of Sociocultural Uncertainty" drew interest among people.
At the end of the day, each delegation took part in the creative event “All flags are our guests”, where they presented their university. Vice-rector for educational work Tomilchik E.V. addressed the guests from the Russian Federation and Armenia.
