Opening of the forum "Belarus - China: a bridge for innovations"
Today on 20 of october, a forum "Belarus - China: a bridge for innovations" began its work at the conference hall of the "Belarus" hotel. The forum was organised by the scientific and technological park of the BNTU "Polytechnic", supported by innovation fund of the Minsk city executive committee, Sino-Belarusian technological park in the city of Changchung and Shanghai university. The main aim of the event is to expand scientific-technological innovation and production cooperation between Minsk organisations and sister cities of China (Shanghai, Changchung). About 80 representatives from 28 Belarusian and Chinese organisations are taking part in the forum. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Nadezhda Anatolyevna Lazarevich, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of BNTU Anna Petrovna Kurakova, General Director of the Chinese-Belarusian joint closed joint stock company "Industrial Park Development Company" Li Zhonghan. The moderator of the event is Maxim Vasilievich Zhurkevich, First Deputy General Director of the Scientific and Technological Park of BNTU "Polytechnic". From the Chinese side, Li Yongping, Director General of the Belarusian-Chinese Technopark in Changchun, Lu Xiaolin, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Park of Shanghai University, Li Wenxue, Director of the Confucius Institute for Science and Technology of BNTU from the Chinese side, connected online.
Nadezhda Anatolievna Lazarevich addressed the participants with a greeting speech. She thanked the organisers for hosting the event and emphasized the importance of cooperation between Belarus and China on such key issues as trade, science and technologies, investments. Belarussian National Technical University cooperates with Chinese universities in various fields such as: scientific researches (realisation of massive joint projects and programs); innovative work (formation and development of a network of joint innovation centers, scientific laboratories); education (training and internships for specialists, teachers and students). – Young scientists of the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Belarus contribute to the implementation of friendly relations between our peoples. I sincerely hope that we will continue to maintain close ties, share experiences, and combine the intellectual potential of the two countries, which will stimulate the development of the economies of Belarus and China and ensure a beautiful future for our states. I wish you good health, prosperity, inexhaustible energy and success in your work,” Anna Petrovna Kurakova addressed the audience.
Within the framework of the first day of the forum, the following events will be held: an exhibition of scientific and technological achievements of organizations in Minsk and sister cities of the PRC (Shanghai, Changchun) "Technologies of the Future", a scientific and practical seminar on youth entrepreneurship with a competition of innovative start-up projects "Innovative Initiative" ( the final). The winners of the competition, in turn, will be announced on the second day of the event.
