On March 15, an international round table "The role of youth in preserving historical memory and developing the state" was held online. The event was timed to coincide with the Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus.
The Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus is a public holiday of great importance and deep content, which is a reflection of the mentality of the people and the life of the country. It was on this day in one of the historical places of Belarus - the Minsk City Hall - that an action was traditionally held to present students of educational institutions who have reached the age of 14 with an official document - a passport.
The participants of the round table were students and pupils of educational institutions, working youth under the age of 31, chairmen and members of youth councils, specialists in work with youth of organizations and enterprises.
Representatives of the Minsk State Linguistic University joined the event online: Tomilchik Eduard V., Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Rybchinskaya Olga Sergeevna, Head of the Department for Educational Work with Youth, Manko Natalya Igorevna, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Romance Languages, as well as university students. The participants of the international round table in the central studio were Ratmir Grishchenko, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Romance Languages, Uliana Astromovich, a 1st year student of the Faculty of Intercultural Communications, Leshchinina Yaroslava, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Intercultural Communications.
The large-scale event brought together representatives of 7 countries to solve the most important issues in the field of youth policy: the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Russian Federation.
Chemodanova Olga Nikolaevna, Head of the Main Department for Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee, became the moderator of the dialogue platform. Gigin Vadim Frantsevich, chairman of the Belarusian society "Knowledge", Aleksey Talai, motivational speaker, founder of a charitable foundation, Paralympian, acted as experienced experts.
During the work of the dialogue platform, the topic of threats that exist today in the field of international relations was touched upon. "Everything that is done in Belarus is undoubtedly done to ensure the continuity of the country's policy. The youth is the bearer of the ideology that the country wants to pass on to future generations," the experts noted.
To date, a huge number of events are being held in order to preserve historical memory, recreate the cultural and historical heritage, as well as support the constructive and consistent development of the state. Thousands of dialogue platforms, round tables and meetings took place last year. An important part of the development strategy of the state youth policy is visiting educational institutions in the cities of Belarus. At the moment, the information and educational project "Test Conversation" is being held, which consists of a series of meetings of young opinion leaders with university students and college students.
During the event, new forms and types of work with the population of Belarus on patriotic education in modern conditions, including within the framework of international cooperation, were also noted. The participants of the dialogue platform discussed topical issues and promising areas of youth policy in the Republic of Belarus.
At the heart of the ideology and historical policy of Belarus lies, first of all, love for a person and friendship of peoples. "Love for your land, for your citizens and for your history will always be stronger!" - under such a slogan an international round table was held.
