The International scientific and educational forum of young translators «Linguistic personality and translation» will be held at BSU
The two-day VII International Scientific and Educational Forum of Young Translators «Linguistic personality and translation» will open on 10 November at BSU (5 Kurchatova Street, room 718). The event starts at 10.00. The event is organized in a face-to-face and remote format. Its purpose is to analyze the results of scientific research on topical issues of intercultural communication, linguistics, literary studies, translation studies and linguodidactics.
More than 70 young teachers, postgraduates, master students, students from Belarus and Russia will participate in the forum. These are representatives of BSU, Minsk State Linguistic University, Belarusian State University of Transport, Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, St. Petersburg University, Moscow Pedagogical State University, etc.
Young scientists will present their scientific reports in the framework of five sections: «Topical issues of the theory of language and translation studies», «Translation in professional activity», «Language, personality and intercultural communication», «Linguistic and pragmatic aspects of translation», «Issues of interaction of cultures in artistic translation». By the way, the participants of the conference will consider the formation of the discourse competencies of future translators within the disciplines of specialization, the peculiarities of translating English-language neologisms into Russian, the word formation of modern English, German borrowed words in Russian, etc.
In addition, master classes and training seminars on translation from practicing translators and linguists are planned for students within the framework of the conference.
Following the results of the two-day work of the forum, a collection of materials will be prepared, which will be placed in the Electronic Library of BSU and the Scientific Electronic Library eLibrary.ru .
The conference is organized by the Faculty of Social and Cultural Communications of BSU.
