The International Essay Contest in English will be held at BSU

The International essay contest in English «Erudite» will be held at BSU. This year it is timed to the Year of Historical Memory and is aimed at the formation of national identity, raising the level of historical, cultural and patriotic education of young people, revealing the spiritual and moral potential of students, creating conditions for their creative self-realization and improving the level of language training.
Students of Belarus, near and far abroad who study English as a foreign language at a professional level are invited to participate. The contestants were offered the theme «When the roots are deep there is no reason to fear the wind». In the works, the jury will evaluate the conformity of the content, literacy, logical presentation and argumentation, lexical diversity, creativity and originality of the work.
The winners will be named in five categories: «The Best Essay», «The Language Expert», «The Most Logical Essay», «The Most Original Essay», «The Most Original Essay», «The Most Emotional Essay».
Works are accepted until 1 December inclusive by e-mail essaycontestbsu@mail.ru. The winners will be announced on 15 December on the contest website. The award ceremony will take place on 20 December.

The organizer of the intellectual competition is the Department of English Linguistics of the Faculty of Philology of BSU. The essay contest in English «Erudite» is held at BSU for the second time.
