Round table "Belarus-China: development of academic mobility of students" with students of Yantai University (People's Republic of China).
On November 18, 2022 a round table "Belarus - China: development of academic mobility of students" was held in the format of a videoconference, organized by the International Relations Departments of Yantai University (People's Republic of China) and Polessky State University (Republic of Belarus).
The event was held at the Center for Belarusian-Chinese Intercultural Communications at the Polessky State University. The moderator was Anna Andreevna Mankevich, lecturer of the Intercultural Communications Department. Mr. Andy Yu, lecturer of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the University of Yantai, moderated the event.
Presentations were made by the students of Economics and Finance Faculty, specializing in linguistic support of intercultural communications (foreign economic relations) Alesya Vasinkevich, Mark Demianchuk, Vladislav Sukharevich and other students of Polessky State University. Speakers from Yantai University were students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages CAO Mengfei, WAN Jintao, SHAO Zichuan, Liu Chu and others. The total number of participants was about 40.
The roundtable began with the introduction of students to universities in both countries. Presentations on scientific and educational potential of Yantai University and Polessky State University were made. Then students shared information about historical and cultural heritage of Belarus and China. The round table continued with presentations by students on their student life, hobbies and prospects of professional development. The event was accompanied by an active dialogue of students on the issues of education, culture, academic mobility and their own personal development as future qualified specialists.
The format of the meeting aroused interest on both sides. The round table outlined prospective areas for cooperation in the field of academic mobility.
