19 March 2024

Students of Tianjin and Xi'an Universities of Foreign Languages who study Belarusian at MSLU, visited the ancient Belarusian town of Zaslavye accompanied by the associate professor of the Department of Belarusian Language and Literature A.V. Semen'kevich.

During the excursion, the students saw the unique artifacts of Belarusian art in the Museum of Belarusian Folk Painting, listened to the legends about the proud princess Ragneda and her son Izyaslav in the settlement "Val", which is now decorated with the snow-white Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior, with exhibits of the historical and cultural complex "Mlyn".

Impressions from the group about the excursion:
"Studying Belarusian is not an easy task. The pace of learning at MSLU is high, it is necessary to be able to learn a rich and vivid program on time. It was a discovery for us that it is possible to combine the pleasant with the useful in this way. We liked that we managed to combine the atmosphere of academic language learning with an interesting format of interaction with the Belarusian language and culture".
