Welcome to Polytech 2022

This academic year, Sukhoi University was joined by people from eleven countries: Iraq, Cameroon, Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Morocco, Nigeria, Palestine, Russia, Syria, Sierra Leone, Ukraine.
On November 15, a traditional event for our university took place on the initiation of foreign freshman into students: “Welcome to the Polytechnic University – 2022”.
The meeting of students with representatives of the administration and faculties of the university opened with the anthem of the Republic of Belarus.
On behalf of the university administration, the vice-rector for educational work of the Sukhoi University Shapovalov Alexander Valerievich said the following:
"You have become part of a very friendly and large student family. About two thousand students study at our university, and from now on you are part of this team. Let me wish you excellent studies and good knowledge that will be useful to you in the future. You can contact us for help anytime. May you succeed!”
For complete understanding between the parties, translators were present at the meeting, with the help of which the information was broadcast in four languages: Russian, English, French and Arabic.
Sutorma Igor Ivanovich, Dean of the Faculty of Automated and Information Systems, Candidate of Technical Sciences, addressed the children with congratulations and parting words. He managed to bring smiles to the faces of foreigners. He wished success in their studies and stressed that it is important for technical specialists to work as a team, and noted that it is better not to quarrel with your dean.
Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Energy, Candidate of Philological Sciences Kulik Lyudmila Vladimirovna joined the warm wishes and noted that each of the foreigners who entered the first year of the Sukhoi University made the right choice. “Here you will always find support not only among the administration, but also among Belarusian students.” Lyudmila Vladimirovna wished the children not only success in the exams, but also the most vivid emotions and impressions during the studying.
Zhuravskaya Natalya Leonidovna, head of the international relations department, addressed the audience. She thanked the students for coming to study at the Polytechnic University and for continuing to please the teaching staff with their success and activity.
The floor for the speech was also given to the heroes of the occasion, freshmen, who, joining the ranks of the student fraternity, promised to comprehend knowledge, sparing no effort; be honest, hardworking and disciplined; honorably wear the proud title of student; actively participate in the public, scientific and cultural life of the university.
All participants of the event received souvenirs from the university administration with the emblem of the university, which will serve as a reminder of the student life - the most fun and carefree time.
The meeting, which was held in a friendly atmosphere, ended with the performance of the student anthem Gaudeamus.
