The Day of National Cultures will be held at BSU

The Day of National Cultures will be held on 30 November at BSU (8 Ulyanovskaya Street). The beginning is at 15.00. This event is timed to the Day of the foundation of the Council of Communities of the University.
About 200 foreign students from BSU and the Belarusian State Medical University will take part in the large-scale event. These are representatives of Azerbaijan, Palestine, China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. The leadership of BSU is also invited to the celebration.
At the event, guests will get acquainted with the versatility and diversity of nations and their cultures. On the thematic sites, decorated taking into account the traditions and peculiarities of the peoples, it will be possible to see works of art and literature, folk costumes and jewelry, household items, as well as taste national dishes. Everyone will be able to attend master classes in choreographic art.
Also, representatives of the Belarusian-Chinese Media Center of the Faculty of Journalism will hold an exhibition of tea art, where they will talk about the attributes and features of the Chinese ritual of tea drinking.
In addition, a thematic platform on Belarusian culture will be held. The Fundamental Library of BSU organizes an exhibition of rare books. Among the exhibits are «The History of Belarusian art», «Slutsk belts», «Belarusian ornament», «Dolls», etc. The literary exposition will be complemented by samples of the Ethnological Museum of the Faculty of History: rushnyki, butter churn, bast shoes, samovar, etc.
Everyone can attend the event. Admission is free.
The festival is organized by the Council of Communities, the Division of Cultural Affairs and the Division of Youth Social and Educational Work of BSU.
