About 100 specialists in the field of physiology, pathophysiology, genetics, sports medicine and cell biology will take part on November 10 in two scientific events at BSU. The Republican Conference "Signal Mechanisms of the Regulation of Physiological Functions" and the XV Congress of the Belarusian Society of Physiologists (BSF) will bring together experts, teachers and physiologists from Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan and other countries. The meeting will take place online. The events are timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Departments of Human and Animal Physiology of the Belarusian State University and Normal Physiology of the Belarusian State Medical University (BSMU).
The program of the scientific forum and congress includes questions from the field of physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, medical genetics, etc. This topic is relevant for many countries. Therefore, the scale of the conference goes beyond the republican. Also, the specificity of the event lies in the presence of fixed performances. All reports of the participants were previously published in the journal "News of Biomedical Sciences". This made it possible for scientists to familiarize themselves with the problematic field of the meeting before it began.
Scientists will exchange the latest scientific results on the fight against cancer, data on the functioning of the nervous system of athletes under increased loads, discuss the effects of stress on the state of students and changes in the biochemical parameters of the internal environment in violation of carbohydrate metabolism. There will also be a discussion on the use of clinical and laboratory diagnostics in sports activities, the duration of sleep and vegetative regulation among students, the impact of listening to music on indicators of a person's functional state, etc.
Within the framework of the XV Congress of the BSF, a report on the activities of the society for 2017–2022 will be presented by the head of the Department of Human and Animal Physiology of the Faculty of Biology of the Belarusian State University, Chairman of the Board of the BOF Anatoly Chumak. Also, employees of BSU and BSMU will talk about the 100-year history of the formation and development of the departments of their universities.
The organizers of the events are Belarusian State University, Belarusian State Medical University, the Institute of Physiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Belarusian Society of Physiologists.
