BSU will present innovative developments at the XXIX International Forum «TIBO – 2023»
BSU will present 16 innovative developments at the XXIX International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies «TIBO – 2023». It will be held on 18-21 April in Minsk (111 Pobediteley Avenue).
For the first time, the university will present neural networks developed by students of BSU and BSUIR. One of them, «Medic», is designed to analyze the contraction of human facial muscles in order to prevent and treat neuralgia. This collective development of students of the Faculty of International Relations of BSU and BSUIR can also be used in the rehabilitation of stroke patients. The second neural network AdWise (Pasify) is focused on application in business processes. Its author was Alexander Lukashevich, a third-year student of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science.
The exhibits will also include a mock-up of the BSUSat-2 university nanosatellite, designed for studies of near-Earth radiation fields, radiation resistance of electronic elements, and remote sensing of the Earth. In addition, visitors will get acquainted with the mobile application «BYGuide». This is a kind of navigation along ecological routes, taking into account the capabilities and physiological characteristics of travelers. For example, the resource will tell you who this path is suitable for – people with visual impairment or wheelchair users, families with children and animals.
Among the educational innovations of the university are interactive training resources for specialists in the field of digital transformation. The Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science will also present a software and hardware educational and methodological complex for the course «Modeling and programming in the ROS environment of robotic devices» and prototypes of service robots equipped with technical vision, obstacle sensors and audio interfaces.
The exhibition pavilion will also feature wearable electronics «EL-Sense», an online tutoring center «Edme.by», a mobile application for motivating schoolchildren to study «ChildEd», a multifunctional measuring complex «Alma Meter 2», an information system «eLab», etc.
In addition, the V International Scientific and Practical Conference «Smart Learning. Personnel for the digital economy». Viktor Kochin, the head of the Information Technology Centre of BSU, will talk about the design of the integrated management system of the university, and Boris Panshin, a professor of the Department of Digital Economics of the Faculty of Economics, will present a report «Integration of professional and cultural knowledge in the training of specialists in the field of digital economy. Digital Culture».
The developments of the leading Belarusian university will be presented in the sections «Education. Science. Innovations» and «Innovation Infrastructure» within the «Digital Economy» block.
