Belarusian State University and the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation will expand cooperation
The agreement on academic mobility programs was signed by BSU and the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. The document is certified by the signatures of the rectors of the two universities, Andrei Karol and Stanislav Prokofiev, respectively. The signing ceremony took place today, 28 October.
The agreement details the process of exchange of students, teachers and scientists. It is planned that every year five students from each university will be able to study at partner universities for two semesters. A two-week internship is also provided as part of a short-term mobility program.
The exchange of scientific and pedagogical workers involves conducting training sessions, joint research, and lectures. This will contribute to the development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the field of education and science.
To date, the interaction between BSU and the Financial University has been carried out within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed in 2020. During this period, students and teachers of the two universities took part in scientific conferences, seminars and round tables, as well as organized online lectures.
At the meeting, the importance of filling previously reached agreements with substantive content was noted. As the rector of the Financial University noted, the signing of the agreement is a significant factor, since BSU is the main and authoritative university in Belarus and abroad. Stanislav Prokofiev also highly appreciated the experience of the leading Belarusian university in training specialists and implementing effective educational programs among young people. By the way, at the moment, students of the Financial University are taking part in the International Youth Forum «Y.I.D.», which is taking place these days at BSU.
The visit of the Russian delegation ended with participation in a solemn meeting of the BSU Council on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the country's leading university.
