"Go on, fresher" event in Pavel Sukhoi University
After several months of rehearsals, a long-waited creative event was held in Pavel Sukhoi University. On 17 of November, the International Student day, the Polytechnic's assembly hole kindly welcomed everyone who came to the finale of the traditional competition "Go on, fresher!" This competition lit up new stars.
Freshman are preparing for the event almost since the first days of the academic year in order to show the judges their choreographic, vocal and classic genre performances. The guys are writing scenarios, create scenery and work on stage images.
This time, a common theme with the intriguing title "Stories of our city" was chosen to implement creative ideas.
The guests of honor of the event were the head of the department of ideological work, culture and youth affairs of the Administration of the Soviet district of Gomel S.A. Gordeychik, Chief Specialist of the Department of Ideological Work, Culture and Youth Affairs of the Administration of the Soviet District of Gomel O.N. Suturma, First Secretary of the Gomel City Committee of the NGO "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" V.N. Levkutnik, Deputy Head of Information, Analytical, Organizational and Personnel Work of the Gomel Regional Committee A.G. Migun, chief specialist of the Gomel city organization of the public association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" A.G. Sinkevich.
Fearless conquerors of rivers, myth and legend tellers, sorcerers, star warriors and chocolate charmers - all these characters were performed by the Polytech students.
Freshman from 5 faculties warmed the audience by "Knock's them dead" humor and well-prepared acts. There were surprises of course - two-story high sceneries and puppets.
In order to win freshman used world famous films as a concept for their plays. Students representing Mechanical Engineering faculty told a story about "Outlaw pirates of the Gomel rivers". The guys from the energy faculty on the stage acted out adventures around the Spartak chocolate factory, and representatives of the faculty of automated and information systems allowed the viewer to be transported into outer space with their story about the November Jedi "STAR FAIS". The Faculty of Humanities and Economics devoted its stage time to the history of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Sukhogwarts. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering plunged the guests into the past, demonstrating "Adventures about Medieval Gomel", where there was a place for both Jesus and dinosaurs.
The forced pauses during the change of scenery were not a burden to the audience: the charismatic presenters filled them with jokes and introducing the sponsors of the largest event at the university.
The works of the contestants were evaluated by the jury members: Rector of the University A.V. Putyato, Professor of the Department of Social-Humanitarian and Legal Disciplines, Doctor of Sociological Sciences V.V. Kirienko, chairman of the student trade union committee of students Ya.S. Budianu, founder of MuzTorgService LLC P.V. Mozheiko, director of "Harry Plotter" I.A. Sidorov.
To announce the results of the competition, the Rector of the University, Doctor of Technical Sciences Artur Vladimirovich Putyato was took his place on the stage. He thanked all the participants for their excellent performance and good mood.
A bright victory in a big struggle in the contest "Go on, fresher!" won by students of the Faculty of Humanities and Economics of our university, which is traditionally considered the most beautiful in the university: it is attended mostly by the representatives of the fair sex. With their invention, creativity, artistry, the guys conquered both the audience and the jury. Freshmen received a challenge cup and prizes for the best performance.
