90 years of Academy of Music. Festive events

In 2022 the Belarusian State Academy of Music celebrates a prominent date - its 90th anniversary
Over the years, the Academy has acquired the status of the country's leading music educational institution, becoming an example of a well-balanced combination of cultural traditions and innovation, art and science, and a model of value priorities in the field of education. The Academy takes pride in its outstanding musicians, such as famous composers, performers, musicologists, people’s and honoured artists, winners of national and international competitions. We are sure that our Alma mater will keep on unlocking new talents who will enhance high status of Belarusian musical art and the Academy of music.
A lot of events dedicated to the anniversary of the Academy have been taking place during 2022. In January-July there were 4 major festivals (‘Parade of Wind Chamber Ensembles’, VI Republican Festival named after G.I. Zhikharev, III International Festival “Belarusian Piano Assemblies”, V Easter Festival) and International Forum of Ethnic Cultures. The Academy also hosted 10 performing competitions, including 3 republican, 1 faculty and 6 department competitions. As part of building up the system of multi-level professional music education, concerts of the ensemble "Lileya", master classes and joint concerts were held in different cities of Belarus with other educational institutions of the country. Three conferences (XXXI International scientific conference in memory of L.S. Mukharinskaya, Student conference-competition within the XXXI International scientific conference in memory of L.S. Mukharinskaya and Student research and practice conference "Music pedagogy, psychology and performance from the students’ point of view") came up as a result of scientific and research activities.
Joint creative, educational and research activities of teachers, students and Academy staff resulted in all the above mentioned events. There are more exciting and delightful events dedicated to the anniversary in 2022 to come.
