Legalization and recognition of educational certificates

Belarus operates a system for recognising foreign educational qualifications, aligned with international standards.

The procedure is handled by the Belarus ENIC centre at the Republican Institute for Higher Education.

Before arriving in Belarus, it is advisable to contact enicbelarus@nihe.by to confirm whether recognition is required (not all documents need it).

Processing typically takes no more than one month from receipt of complete documentation.

Important: Documents in foreign languages requiring notarised translation into Belarusian or Russian must be legalised (via apostille or consular process) in the issuing country.
